This was a convenient and comfortable place to stay for the Colours Festival Positive: The property was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The heat worked well and the house very quiet Negative: The one bathroom made it extremely difficult for those staying upstairs. The upstairs rooms could use a dresser and a place to hang clothes.

Vintage house in great location Positive: Vintage house in a great location. Had it been a clear day, we would have had a great sunset view. Host communicated well with us, key was just where she said it was and house was easy to access. Negative: Be aware that the bathroom is on the main floor, two of the bedrooms are on the upper level, and the staircase is a bit steep. We did not have any problems but reminded ourselves to be careful with midnight bathroom trips (old bladders and bones...)

If you book, you NEED to know.Our big problem was the description does not adequately prepare you for the house.The house is literally 15 feet from the highway. Even in September, the cars and delivery trucks go right past the house until 11 p.m. it was impossible to open the bedroom windows for fresh air at night. The only window in the house with a view is the living room window and the view is the house directly across the highway, and the passing traffic.‘Spectacular sunset views’ is completely misleading unless you cross the highway and stand on a private road allowance.The bedrooms and living room rooms are very sparsely furnished, not inviting. Mattresses and bedding were cheap. There are essentially no views from any window.We had envisioned a relaxing morning coffee and end of day drink watching a beautiful view. Nope! The house is functional, no views, right on the highway, and not cheap.We did communicate our disappointment to our host.

A great place to stay for one night while travelling the Cabot Trail. Positive: The location was fantastic and the view was amazing. Negative: The smoke detector was very sensitive and went off numerous times when using the oven and toaster. Windows had to be opened to use those appliances.
